Coastal cuisine on tv cook off
Rob Green being filmed for ITV
A WHITBY chef showed he could take the heat when he was filmed for a television show which is being aired tonight.
Rob Green from Green’s Restaurant on Bridge Street will feature in Britain’s Best Dish – The Chefs on ITV at 5pm.
Each day in the series, top chefs from across the country go head to head to find out who can cook up the best main course and dessert.
They will be showing off their signature dish so Rob, who is the national seafood chef of the year, will be serving up some tasty coastal cuisine.
Rob said “It has been the most amazing experience, and such a great opportunity to promote Green’s Restaurant, Whitby and Yorkshire, and it was an honour to have been chosen.
“It’s one of the hardest things I’ve ever done, and I so enjoyed the whole thing. Creating my recipe, and combining the best local ingredients for a dish that represents our coastal region was a great challenge.”
