A GROSMONT author is celebrating the release of his third book, entitled Grown-ups Can’t Be Friends with Dragons.

Like his two previous publications, the book is a children’s story and tells the tale of a young boy who uncovers a dragon, although Antony explained the creature is a little different to what you would expect.

He said: “The dragon is not at all like the on in the picture shown here. He is a small creature living in a cave by the sea, and throughout most of the book Brian can’t really tell exactly what he looks like because the cave is so dark. But he does have the strange, magical ability to transport Brian and himself to another land, where they meet Isabelle, a strange old woman, and her three pigs.”

The story moves between the normal world, where the main character lives with his drunken father and nagging older sister, and the seemingly perfect world of Isabelle and the pigs.

“Just like A Tiger Too Many, this book is filled with drama and peril,” added Antony. “But there’s magic and happiness here too, and I personally believe that grown-ups can be friends with dragons. Don’t you?”

To find out more about the book, the first three chapters are available to read at www.antonywootten.co.uk. The book costs £6.50, although there is a discount for schools available through the website.

The author is also taking part in a book signing at Whitby bookshop on Tuesday 19 February.
