The Friends of Pannett Park are holding a series of events this weekend to celebrate Easter.

On Saturday 23 April, between 11am and 3.30pm, Pannett Park will play host Roman soldiers, traction engine rides, a fairground organ and a bouncy castle.

Owen Moore, vice chair of the Friends of Pannett Park, said: “We are delighted by the way the park is looking this spring, particularly the displays of bulbs.

“With the restoration complete we are now seeing the new planting establishing itself.

“We want to encourage everyone to use and enjoy the park so come along and join in the Easter fun and see how brilliant the park is.”

Other events will include the Easter story by the Whitby Christian Fellowship, plus other Easter activities including egg rolling, an egg hunt and egg painting.
