Christmas fair fun in Danby
MAKE a date to enjoy some festive fun at Danby next weekend when the village hall is the venue for this year’s Esk Valley Christmas Fair.
The two day extravaganza will see a host of local artists, craftspeople and businesses come together to get the festive season off to a flying start.
The fair will be open from 10am to 4pm on both Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 November, with Father Christmas dropping in between 11am and 1pm each day.
Seasonal refreshments in the form of mince pies, along with warming home-made soups and lots of other mouth-watering fare, will be provided by Danby Young Farmers.
Stalls include photography and art-work, woodwork, jewellery, pottery, glassware, books, fashion accessories and toiletries.
Organic vegetables and home-made preserves will also be on sale, along with cards and gift packaging.
Last year’s Christmas Fair raised £370 in support of the Northern Air Ambulance - this year the charities to benefit are Esk Valley Lifeline and Eskmoors Caring, both of which help local people in the Esk Valley and surrounding area.
Admission to the event is free.
