HOW dismayed I was to see that an Animal Circus has arrived in town.
Despite Circus Mondao's assurances that their animals are number one priority, no animal deserves to be transported from town to town for 10 months of the year.

A travelling circus can never meet the needs of these animals, be they lion or horse.

Can I appeal to everyone in Whitby, particularly parents to avoid animal circuses and instead visit one of the many excellent shows which rely entirely on human skills.

There is no educational value in seeing these once proud animals reduced to performing tricks in an unnatural environment.

Circuses teach a lack of respect for animals.

Shame on Broad Ings Farm for allowing Circus Mondao to rent their field.
