A POIGNANT tribute was held on Saturday as more than 500 people including the mum of murdered goth, Sophie Lancaster gathered to remember her on Whitby's West Cliff.
Dozens of floral tributes were laid near a memorial bench which now bears a plaque in memory of the 20-year-old who visited Whitby Gothic Weekend on three occasions.

The student from Rossendale Valley was kicked to death as she begged two yobs to stop beating her boyfriend in a park in Lancashire.
Her killers were due to be sentenced yesterday at Preston Crown Court.
