Sandsend pub set for alterations

THE trimming of trees Whitby’s former court and siting of signs are on the list of plans that have been submitted to the council for approval.

Works are to be carried out to a Pine tree and an Acer tree at the former magistrates court at Waterstead Lane which is to be converted into a care home.

Other applications being considered by Scarborough Borough Council (SBC) include: installation of balcony to existing dormer at 22 High Street, Ruswarp; discharge of conditions relating to new dwelling at land adjacent to 1 Bank Close, Sleights; replacement of existing fascia panels and ATM surrounds at Lloyds TSB Bank, 46 Flowergate, Whitby; insertion of new door opening in existing garage and store to allow access from pub kitchen and installation of sign to side elevation at Hart Inn, East Row, Sandsend; various internal works to chimney breast, ceiling, floor and walls at 4 Foresters Court, Church Street, Whitby.
