Siblings on school photo
A MICKLEBY reader recognised four of her elder brothers and sisters on the photo of Ellerby School published recently in Looking Back.
Dorothy Prudon (86), nee Boanas, spotted Lily Boanas, second row from back in white with long hair in bunches tied with ribbons.
Also in the picture are her three younger brothers Billy (second row from front in the middle); Ernie, who is immediately in front of his brother and Henry, who is in the back row on the far left.
The family lived at High Farm in Mickleby, but moved to Lythe when Dorothy was six.
The headteacher in the photo on the left was Mr Cook.
A Mrs Hodgson from Hutton Mulgrave also recognises her mother-in-law, Alice Harker, then aged seven, in the front row fifth from the right.
Alice's older sister Esther and older brother Frank are in the picture too.
