Mum's upset at name and shame

I AM writing to you regarding the comments Lucy Jones from High Stakesby wrote about me.

My name is Tara Anscombe. I would just like to tell Lucy Jones that I have worked since I was 13 years old.

I have never claimed for anything. If you would have realised how old my baby son is you would understand that I am still on maternity leave.

I am hoping to get back to work soon and will be putting my son in a creche that me and my partner will be paying for out of our own money, not paid by taxpayers.

We pay full rent on our property, even though it has nothing to do with you about how much I pay.

As for looking after my son financially we manage just fine, thank you, as my partner works,

If you saw the flat I was living in I doubt you would live here, especially when my son has been taken into hospital with bronchitis over it. We have to share the same bedroom as my son is in his cot, as there is no room anywhere else.

I have lived here for four years. This flat is only made for two people, not three and I live on the top floor flat as well.

The flat is owned by Yorkshire Coast Homes and we can’t get the work done ourselves as it is their responsibility.

We are taking care of my son as the best we can and I don’t take kindly to people saying otherwise.

As for the other girl who made the complaint the second time, I know her very well and and she works herself so before you start malicious comments and complaints you should first find out more about the people it concerns. This letter you wrote, Lucy, has made us very upset and angry because you have named and shamed me over something that you shouldn’t have.

From Tara Anscombe, Whitby
