A NUMBER of events are being held at Whitby Library on Windsor Terrace.

Running until the Saturday the 23rd of February -Non-fiction booksale – come and grab a bargain, ex-library books on sale from as little as 30 pence.

On Tuesday 19 February between 5–7pm there will be a police drop-in session. PCSO Lynne Butler will be at Whitby library to discuss residents’ concerns.

On the same day Whitby Library’s book group will be meeting between 6-7pm and new members are welcome.

Between 2.15-2.45pm there will be the Bookstart Bear story-time at Whitby Library where there will be the opportunity to read stories and nursery rhymes for children aged 0-5 years.

An ‘Absolute beginners computer course’ is being held between 2-4pm. To book a place call Whitby Library on 0845 300 6687, or talk to a member of library staff.

On Thursday 21 February between 2.15-3.15pm a Half-term story-time is being held with stories and crafts suitable for children aged 2-7 years.

On Tuesday 26 February between 2-4pm an ‘Introduction to the internet’ computer course is being held. Call Whitby library on 0845 300 6687 or talk to a member of library staff to book a place.

An ‘Introduction to email’ course is being held on Friday 1 March between 10am-12noon. To book a place call Whitby Library on 0845 300 6687 or talk to a member of library staff.

Then, on Friday 1 March between 2– 2.30pm there will be the Bookstart Bear Rhyme-time with stories and rhymes for children aged 0-3 years.
