Arriva has some work to tackle
I was pleased to see the report in the Whitby Gazette about the councillors taking complaints to Arriva concerning the local bus services.
I hope this will result in up-to-date service information in Whitby bus station.
Until very recently, services to Middlesbrough via Staithes were still shown as 56 and not 5 as they became last year, and I think a check will show the service 93 timetable for the Middlesbrough-Whitby-Scarborough service is still showing last summer’s schedules with a 30-minute frequency.
Regular users know to ignore this out-of-date information but visitors and other infrequent users will be misled and inconvenienced.
The latest timetables are displayed in the railway station entrance, so why not in the bus station?
