Littlebeck Garden Fete and Rose Queen

Tuesday 3 August

 


Littlebeck is the place to be on the first Tuesday in August. Since 1955, this is the day the new Rose Queen is crowned. The Rose Queen in waiting is carried from the ford to the grounds of the Old Mill by a raft. Then after the ceremony, local children perform a mimed version of a fairy tale, and a traditional village fete follows raising funds for the village hall.
